Why try to remove that nice coloration you're fortunate in accumulating? This is what gives your bike personality! Do you want it to look like a lifeless new-bike advertizement, or a bike that's being ridden? I'll take color any day, and if my Savage is going to keep its pipe and muffler a sterile "perfect" chrome color, then I'm going to find some way to give it a ballsy heat-stain, if I have to take a blowtorch to it!

Look at some of the earlier posts on pipe coloration...you should be proud you're developing a manly stain on your pipe! Sonny Barger wouldn't be caught dead riding his chopper with "pure chrome" pipes! Go to Sturgis in August...see how many real bikers have goody-goody nice perfect chrome pipes!
